This is how differential gear works


The differential is the last place where the power makes a stop before getting transmitted to the wheels; a mechanism between front two wheels and the rear two wheels for enabling them to move at speed irrespective of the other. These differential gears allow the outer wheel to rotate faster than the inner for taking a turn. It generally consists of one input drive shaft and two outputs connected to wheels.
