This Is How Friction Welding Works

Friction welding is probably one of the most exciting ways to weld two pieces of metal together. When two metal pieces are rubbed together at a specific and constant speed, the metals heat up and the edges start to melt. These melted edges fuse together to form a very strong bond. Not only is the bond a strong one, the finish is also pretty smooth. The process works for a wide range of metals.
